How to Unbox, Connect, and Install the Chinacnczone Handheld Laser Welding Machine

Chinacnczone Handheld Laser Welding Machine

Welcome to our step-by-step guide on unboxing, connecting, and installing the Chinacnczone Handheld Laser Welding Machine.

This powerful and versatile 4-in-1 system supports welding, cutting, cleaning, and seam cleaning—all in one compact unit.

Follow this guide to get your machine up and running safely and efficiently.

Step 1: Unboxing the Machine

The machine arrives in a sturdy wooden box, while the wire feeder comes in a cardboard box. Handle with care to avoid damaging the optical fiber.

Instructions:

  1. Place the box on a flat surface according to the labeled orientation.

  2. Remove the top cover and foam inserts carefully.

  3. The laser is connected to the handheld gun via a fiber optic cable. Ensure the bending radius of the fiber armor is greater than 175 mm to prevent damage.

  4. Remove all foam protectors and take out all accessories.

  5. Check all items against the packing list:

    • Main machine case

    • HW980 4-in-1 laser welding gun

    • Welding nozzles (multiple types)

    • Cleaning kit

    • Wire feeder machine

    • Protective mask and glasses

    • LED smart display

    • Protective lenses (5 pcs)

    • Wire nozzles (4 pcs)

    • ER304 stainless steel welding wire

    • Power cables and communication cables

  6. Keep all packaging materials for future storage or transportation.

Step 2: Pre-Startup Preparation of Chinacnczone handheld laser welding machine

A. Electrical Connection

  • The machine operates on 220V AC, 50Hz. Connect the power cord to the electrical box.

  • Ensure proper grounding: L = 220V, N = 0V, PE = Ground.

  • If you need to run on 110V, use a suitable transformer.

B. Gas Connection

  • Use inert gas (argon or nitrogen) with 99.99% purity.

  • Set gas pressure to 0.2–0.3 MPa with a flow rate of 15 L/min.

C. Safety Clip

  • Must be connected before operation:

    • In welding mode, clamp to the workpiece.

    • In cleaning or cutting mode, clamp to the metal part of the gun.

D. Wire Feeder Setup

  1. Select the correct wire feed wheel based on welding wire diameter (e.g., V-1.2 for 1.2mm wire).

  2. Release the pressure rods, replace the wheel, and tighten the nut.

  3. Feed the wire through the guide tube and secure it.

E. Cooling System

  1. Fill the water chiller with purified water until the water level reaches two-thirds of the gauge.

  2. Ensure water temperature is ≥20°C before operation.

  3. If ambient temperature is below 0°C, add antifreeze (30% alcohol by volume). Contact support for specific guidelines.

Step 3: Powering On the Machine

  1. Toggle the air switch on the back of the machine to the ON position.

  2. Turn on the system switch on the control panel.

  3. The touch screen will light up, indicating the machine is ready.

Step 4: Connecting the Wire Feeder (Optional for Welding)

  1. Connect the wire guide tube to the feeder and tighten the outlet screw.

  2. Connect the gun switch signal cable to the wire feeder.

  3. Fix the guide tube to the welding gun.

  4. Load the welding wire reel, pass it through the feeder, and align it with the wire feed wheel.

  5. Use the spot feed function to push the wire through the guide tube and nozzle.

Step 5: Laser Startup Sequence

⚠️ Warning: Always wear laser safety glasses. Do not look into the laser output.

  1. Connect all power and gas lines.

  2. Turn on the power switch on the rear panel.

  3. Release the emergency stop switch on the front.

  4. Turn on the laser enable and start button on the touch screen.

  5. Adjust parameters: laser power, frequency, scan width, etc.

  6. Set gas flow to 15 L/min.

  7. Clamp the safety clip to the workpiece (welding) or gun (cleaning/cutting).

  8. Press and hold the gun switch to emit laser.

Final Check Before Use

  • Verify all connections are secure.

  • Confirm water temperature ≥20°C.

  • Ensure gas pressure and purity are correct.

  • Check that the safety clip is properly attached.

  • Perform a test run in a safe environment.
